MONROE, La. (AP) - A third city of Monroe employee has been arrested on allegations he was paid for time he didn't work.
The News-Star reports that 45-year-old Calvin Blunt was booked Monday into Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of public payroll fraud and malfeasance.
An arrest affidavit states police interviewed Blunt at the Monroe Police Department about payroll fraud at the Monroe Sewer and Water Department.
Police said one DVD recording showed Blunt clocking in another employee at 3:30 p.m. one day, even though the employee did not show up to work until 5 p.m.
Last week, police arrested two other sewer department employees,
50-year-old James Lewis and 45-year-old. The were booked with public payroll fraud and malfeasance.
