Two 26-year-old men were found dead Sunday evening in the Amite River near Watson.

According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Joshua Caleb Brantley of Hammond and Philip H. White of Marrero were tubing with about 10 other friends when they went missing around 2:00 p.m. on June 22.

Their bodies were discovered shortly after 6:00 p.m. that same day, just a half-mile from where they entered the waterway.

The investigation is still ongoing.
