WHITE CASTLE, La. (NBC33)  Gerald "Jermarr" Williams is now officially the new mayor of White Castle.  He was sworn in Wednesday night surrounded by his family and friends.  After the ceremony, the new mayor celebrated by singing and rejoicing with his supporters at a local church.  Williams takes on his new post after much controversy in the small town.  In July, former mayor Maurice Brown, along with his brother Mario, were indicted on federal racketeering charges.  Former mayor Brown had plans to run for re-election in the race this past October, but he was disqualified for nonpayment of ethics related fines.
