X-Ray reveales drug smuggler at Thailand airport
NBC News —
A Peruvian man has been arrested at Bangkok's international airport after an x-ray revealed he had more than a kilogram of cocaine concealed in his stomach. A kilogram is a little more than two pounds. Officials claim the man had 123 plastic capsules full of drugs in his body.
Customs officers say they stopped the man on a hunch as he passed through the airport on Monday. He says he was offered five-thousand dollars to carry the drugs into Thailand. Drug smuggling is a capital offense in Thailand.
