BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Police are trying to identify a person who's been run over in the 1200 block of Florida Boulevard. It happened just after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8.

Baton Rouge EMS workers say the man was found unresponsive in the road with severe injuries. We're told the driver of a ‘92 Toyota Corolla did not see the man walking across the street.

This is the second incident involving a pedestrian being struck by a car within the past 24-hours. BRPD says the traffic homicide unit is investigating and the man who was hit is in critical condition at a Baton Rouge hospital.
