The LSU School of Coast and Enviornment has played a key role analyzing samples from the Gulf of Mexico.

Now - the School will start to focus more on the Louisiana shoreline.   Scott Miles is a Senior Researcher at LSU.  He says since the cleanup is being measured in years - it's important to find out how far the oil will seep on shore and who will be affected.

Some samples will still be collected and analyzed at the school.  But Miles says now most will be sent to a commercial company.
