Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A California author has written a mystery novel with a Baton Rouge connection.
Scott Evans is the author of "First Folio", a mystery book talking about the Shakespeare authorship debate.
Part of the book is set at the Louisiana State Capital in Baton Rouge. Evans says it's a book people who call Louisiana home will enjoy.
"My main character, Joseph Conrad – an important literary figure, is from Baton Rouge originally - so there’s lots of tie-ins to Baton Rouge," said Evans.
"First Folio" is out right now. Evans will be in Baton Rouge on Friday and Saturday, October 21 and 22, signing copies of his book at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the LSU campus.
