PublishAmerica is proud to present 'The Awakening: A Story of Twisted Fate' by Stacy Benton.

Opal’s small fingers are grasped by the hands of a woman - an enigmatic stranger. She stares, horrified in the rain of a woman she barely knows is dragged naked to a van screaming, kicking and reaching out to the little, frail girl in the darkened night.

The significance of what occurred is as obscure as that stormy night in the project housing of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Opal’s destiny is an ill fate, one that is perplexing. Uncovering the many masks and secrets of the Dubar family will be daunting. In a fight against a twisted fate Opal is immersed in a world of deceit with an evil that is rooted in generations of lies.

The Awakening: A Story of Twisted Fate is a reflective piece based upon real life experiences and circumstances of the author. The novel is a dramatized depiction of those challenges. It exemplifies the will to survive, love, persevere and forgive in a lonely world.

Stacy Benton is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Southern University. Being raised in foster care and an abusive adopted home in north Louisiana was difficult. The journey to becoming the mother and wife she is today was filled with challenges. Those emotional and mental struggles influenced her to become an inspiring writer.

“It has been an extreme pleasure to work with this talented and dedicated author,” said PublishAmerica Public Relations Director Shawn Street. “For ordering information, please visit www.publishamerica.com.”
