Louisiana Artificial Reef Council Meets Today

The Artificial Reef Council has scheduled a meeting for 1:00 p.m. June 13, 2011 in the Louisiana Room of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries headquarters building located at 2000 Quail Drive in Baton Rouge.

Program Update
To consider Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission’s June 2, 2011 request to fully utilize the Artificial Reef Fund and remove the Artificial Reef Council’s January 21, 2005 motion to preserve a base fund.
To discuss the development of inshore and nearshore artificial reef plans.
Presentation on the use of reclaimed oyster shell and recycled concrete for constructing inshore and nearshore artificial reefs.
