Locals think new police chief will have a large task cleaning up the streets

Earlier today, NBC33 spoke with Mayor-President Kip Holden; he wouldn't comment on the search for the new Baton Rouge Police Chief.

He did say he has the list of candidates, and he's reviewing them.

Holden said he will have a decision before the deadline at the end of May, when Interim Police Chief, Charles Mondrick, is forced to leave his position.

Baton Rouge local Kenneth White knows the next chief has a huge job ahead of them, and he's waiting very patiently to see who gets the nod; he gives his thoughts in the video above.
