BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) -We often hear and read about the mighty men who led our country to victory during WWII.  But at the U.S.S. Kidd today, it was all about the ladies, as female WWII vets were honored by the Women Veterans of Louisiana Ministry.

The ladies were treated to a banquet of jambalaya and cake, and were presented with special plaques by Congressman Bill Cassidy.

Lillie Clark, the oldest lving World War II veteran involved with the Ministry said it feels good to know she has lived a long enough life to be able to serve her country.
