BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) --St. Gabriel city council members are spending the day in federal court today.

Ralph Johnson, Deborah Alexander, Flora Danielfield, Freddie Frazier and Melvin Hasten arrived at the courthouse between 9:15am and 10:00am.

All five city council members were issued subpoenas in the investigation of St. Gabriel Mayor George Grace.

The subpoenas are part of the on-going 'Operation Blighted Officials' federal investigation.
