BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) -Parents were able to digitally finger print their kids at "Sunday in the Park" held downtown.  The event was sponsored in part by Headline News.  Parents who participated received a free 8 x 10 printout of their child's photograph and finger print.  The printout included all of the child's vital information so that the parent can either forward the information to local law enforcement to add to their database, or keep the information for themselves.  Organizers say digital fingerprinting is just one weapon in the fight against missing children and child abduction.  According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, over 2,000 children are reported missing in America each day.   Event organizer Wil Phearson says digital finger printing can  help speed up the process of recovering a missing or abducted child.
