BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) - — With the temperature rising, and virtually no rain in sight, a statewide burn ban goes into effect at 9:00 Wednesday morning.
Anyone who is caught burning anything outdoor could be fined. Private burning can only take place with permission of local governments or local fire departments.
The ban was put in place by the State Fire Marshall, Butch Browning. It will remain in effect until further notice.
