Kentwood man arrested for growing marijuana

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA — On June 29, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Agents and the LSP Narcotics Division placed one Charles Ferguson in custody for the Cultivation of Marijuana.
After a one month long undercover operation, agents were able to locate 14 growing Marijuana Plants located on the Sandy Hollow Wildlife Management area (which backs up to Ferguson's property).
Ferguson used this area in an attempt to conceal his grow operation. The estimated street value of these plants is approximately $14, 000.00.
Ferguson was subsequently taken into custody and charged with the Cultivation of Marijuana. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
