Interviews for EBR Supt. begin on Tuesday, March 20

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Interviews begin next week for the finalists for the East Baton Rouge Schools Superintendent. The board chose 3 candidates but one withdrew his name today. H. Allen Smith of Denver dropped out. So Maria Pitre-Martin, the Director of K-12 Curriculum and Instruction for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction will be interviewed Tuesday, March 20, at 5:00p.m. Bernard Taylor, Superintendent of Schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan will be interviewed Wednesday at 5:00p.m. The top pick will be announced Thursday at a special board meeting. The public is invited and encouraged to take part in the interview process. Interviews take place at the Instructional Resource Center on Foster drive.
