6th District Face-Off

By Kianga Kelley

Monday all three 6th Congressional District candidates chimed in on the most talked about issues: the economy, taxes, and recent attack ads.  For the first time Michael Jackson, Don Cazayoux, and Bill Cassidy sat down to an open forum.  When it comes to the economy all three have strong views on what will fix our current problems, in particular focusing on the American people.

Senator Bill Cassidy says, "If ever there comes a choice between big government and you, I choose you."

Don Cazayoux said, "I voted to lower taxes constantly for the middle class and I will continue to do so."

The next topic was taxes.  While Cazayoux and Cassidy agree on lower taxes, Jackson agrees with Obama: that lowering taxes will not help.

"I hope that some point somebody will start talking about some answers rather than taking positions and not giving you the meat."

And lastly all three candidates believe this year's election has been extremely harsh.  They all believe attacking each other has made it difficult for the American voter.  Voters decide November 4th.
