Lots of folks cutting back on those expensive coffees, and Starbucks is hit hard. They're closing 600 stores around the nation and nine right here in Baton Rouge.

Employees aren't allowed to talk to us, but several workers did tell us off camera that Starbucks has guaranteed them a job - even after the closures.

Starbucks representatives say they can't confirm the exact dates for any of the closures here in Baton Rouge. We can tell you that they'll be shutting down the nine stores between now and june of next year.

Here in Baton Rouge, there are seventeen Starbucks locations. We caught up with coffee drinkers who had mixed reactions about the closures here in town.
