BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Hundreds showed up at the Baton Rouge River Center for a Thanksgiving Feast Thursday.
The 24th annual Holiday Helpers Thanksgiving dinner brought people from all over the capitol city to enjoy a big serving of turkey, ham, and several other traditional holiday foods.
Organizers expected about around 1,500 people at the dinner. More than 300 volunteers gave up their holiday to help feed the needy, the hungry, or just anyone who wanted a hot meal.
