NBC NATIONAL NEWS — An animated bear causes trouble both off screen and on in "Ted." This summer breakout comedy features Mark Wahlberg as a grownup living with his boyhood best friend. But that childish chum happens to be a foul-mouthed teddy bear who came to life after a magic wish. Still hanging around after 27 years, Wahlberg may have to kick his thunder buddy to the curb after girlfriend Mila Kunis moves in.
Writer/director Tony Gilroy explores the intersection of secrets and science in "The Bourne Legacy." This is his fourth "Bourne" film, but the first without its title character. Jeremy Renner takes over for Matt Damon as the next generation of bioengineered assassins. He's on the run with a government scientist after the top-secret program, and everyone in it is ordered to be terminated.
Denis Leary's sabre toothed tiger catches the love bug in "Ice Age: Continental Drift." But that's not the worst infestation this prehistoric herd will catch. We meet the long-lost family of Sid the Sloth who abandoned him long ago, and may do so again as the global climate begins to change.
Lena Dunham gives a behind-the-scenes look at "Girls." The creative force behind this HBO series, Dunham earned three separate Emmy nominations herself for Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Writer. The show examines the relationships and humiliations of four young women living in New York.
