Red Stick Roller Derby, Baton Rouge's only Women's Flat Track Derby Association roller derby league, is beginning their 5th season at home on March 23rd at the Baton Rouge River Center.

The event, which is a double header, should be a good one: The RSRD All-Stars, who are ranked #4 in Derby South, will be playing the Mississippi Rollergirls of Gulfport, MS, who are #3 in Derby South; the other RSRD team, the Capital Defenders, will team with the Mississippi Rollergirls's B-Team to play against Emerald Coast Roller Derby.

As a league, we sponsor a local charity for each home bout. For this particular bout, the charity is Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue. Magic Happens is a nonprofit organization focused on rescuing and finding loving homes for rabbits, as well as educating the public on rabbit care.

The home season dates include March 23, May 18, June 22, July 21, August 10 and September 28.
