Members of the media are invited to attend a special event on Saturday, November 10, at 3:30 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, hosted by the LSU School of Music.

he School of Music is partnering with the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts for an exciting new initiative that aims to raise funds for the School of Music by merging the worlds of music and visual arts into a unique opportunity with a distinct Louisiana flavor. The event will feature the unveiling of a one-of-a-kind Steinway piano hand-painted by famed “Blue Dog” artist George Rodrigue, as well as a performance on the piano by Oscar Rossignoli, an LSU undergraduate music student from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The event will take place during the regular Tiger Athletic Foundation, or TAF, tailgate event in the assembly center, held prior to the LSU Tiger Homecoming football game against Mississippi State University. This event is not open to the general public, but is open to all TAF members, LSU Alumni Association members and their guests.
