BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Christmas cheer filled the jones creek area during the Jones Creek Business Association's Annual Christmas Parade Sunday afternoon.
Dozens of people packed the parade route to watch the holiday themed floats, dance teams, dogs, and a few famous faces roll down Jones Creek. Riders threw tons of beads and candy for the kids.
"I get to celebrate Christmas and I get to catch a lot of stuff, and if I catch good stuff I can give it to other people," Anesia Mamveaux, parade goer, said.
"It's local and it's his first parade so we are very excited to come," Gusteavo Ortiz, first time parade goer, said.
The parade went all the way down Jones Creek and ended at Tigerbend.
