PARK CITY, UTAH — Louisiana native and New Orleans resident, actress Shanna Forrestall just returned from a successful trip to the Sundance Film Festival.
In addition to networking with celebrities and filmmakers from around the world, Forrestall went to help the Louisiana International Film Festival and Mentorship Program kick off their inaugural season with a Mardi Gras Parade at Sundance that started on Main Street in Park City and ended up inside a local restaurant called Ciseros. The parade and party drew hundreds of people who experienced a “love riot” led by the jazz prodigy Jonathan Batiste and his band Stay Human.
Forrestall served as the Queen of the Parade dressed in finery designed by some of New Orleans’ talented clothing and jewelry designers. The King of the parade was the “Conquistador” Alexander Antebi (Musician).
"As a Louisiana native, I was thrilled to be invited to represent Louisiana at Sundance. I was honored to be the Queen of the LIFF Mardi Gras Sundance parade, and to be at the epicenter of this great event celebrating film with a fusion of music, fashion, creative energy and Louisiana culture." Forrestall said.
Forrestall is a working film and television talent who is featured in Olympus Has Fallen, an $80 million feature film project that was filmed in Shreveport, LA. The film will be released in theaters March 22, 2013, and she will also host a brand new show set to launch this year on Investigation Discovery (ID). The ID show will start filming in Louisiana just after Mardi Gras 2013. Forrestall is repped by Open Range Management in Louisiana.
