Horn Club performs at Baton Rouge General
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Take a break from your work day and stop by Baton Rouge General for a musical treat this Friday, Dec. 6.
The Baton Rouge Horn Club, a French horn quartet, will perform at the hospital’s Bluebonnet campus in the atrium, located at 8585 Picardy Avenue from noon-1 p.m.
In partnership with the Manship Theatre and the Janice H. Pellar Creative Arts Entrepreneurship Project in the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts, the weekly Friday Lunch Live! concert series brings local musicians and performers to Baton Rouge General each Friday at noon for performances.
The concerts are free and open to the community, and all are welcome to join Baton Rouge General for performances by pianists, guitarists, singers and other musicians.
Recent performers include George Bell on trumpet, rhythm and blues singer Kalesha Brown Boudreaux, the LSU A Cappella Choir, nationally known Riders In the Sky and Grammy Award-winning Turtle Island Quartet.
Launched in fall 2012, Baton Rouge General’s Arts in Medicine program brings the arts to patients and family members through a variety of creative activities, music and more.
