Sometimes adults take for granted that Halloween can be very scary to young kids. For this reasons the River Road African American Museum is offering an alternative for parents in the Donaldsonville area.

On Halloween night, Wednesday, Oct. 31, the museum will hold the first screening for its annual fall Outdoor Movie series. They will show animated Disney musical “The Lion King.”

Along with the film there will be a mask making workshop, costume contest for children and parents, and puppet show. They will even have a contest to win a prize for the best lion roar

The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. It will take place at the museum, located at 406 Charles Street in Donaldsonville.
