What kid doesn’t love to swing upside down? Now grown-ups can get into the act, too, by making gravity their friend. As Nesita Kwan found out: it’s a fun way to get some good exercise.

So taking a cue from the world’s circus, dance, and entertainment, Crunch Gym has a new class in town. Everyone defies gravity in this class and it’s how you defy age as well.

Brent Holton of Crunch Gym says, “As kids, we’re always swinging on swings, we’re hanging upside down, we’re doing cartwheels, we’re doing handstands.” A handstand, really? But we were assured that anyone can do it.

It’s cardio, it’s definitely stretching, but he best part is you’re able to do things you haven’t been able to do since elementary school. And if you’ve ever dreamed of being in the circus take a spin in the gym wheel. You don’t have to join the circus to join in. 66-year-old grandmother Melanie Sikorski is in one of the classes. “The first time I did it, I had to close my eyes I was so scared. Next week my grandchildren are coming with me because they have to see Granny do this!”

It used to be just a kids class, but this year, Circesteem started classes for adults, who admit they love it because they get to be kids again.
