ABOUT US...

In 1979, JoAnn Fox opened the Creative Cake Store on Mickens Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was a small (500 square feet) retail cake supply business, and JoAnn was the only employee. As the business grew, more employees were hired, and 800 square feet were added. The store also expanded its inventory to include party supplies, although it retained its name and its emphasis on cake supplies. Soon, the business took up 4,800 square feet and employed a staff of 5.

A 2nd location was added in March of 1984, on Tiger Bend Road, and a 3rd store opened in North Baton Rouge, on Airline Highway, in May of 1990. Creative Cake soon became Creative, Your Party Store, and was thriving as a favorite retailer of party and cake supplies in the Baton Rouge community. JoAnn's daughter Donna Travis joined the family business in 1992.

In October, 1995, the store consolidated the inventory of all its locations and moved to a larger space on Airline Highway and Old Hammond, christening this party superstore Party Time. Although located in the middle of a busy thoroughfare, the business eventually outgrew even this location! In May of 2009, Party Time moved to its current location at 3350 Bluebonnet Blvd, where it now houses a full-service rental warehouse with 125 bouncers, a variety of tables, chairs, concessions and wedding rentals, a massive balloon section, a full-service printing department, and a classroom specifically for cake decorating and candy-making classes.

With 45 employees, Party Time seems only to keep growing! With new inventory added daily, affordable prices, and customer service that is unparalleled, Party Time continues to be a Baton Rouge favorite for party supplies, customized invitations, cake supplies, and all kinds of fun!
