Children's Mental Health Awareness Week Prayer Request

On April 21, 2005 SAMHSA proclaimed the first full week of May each year as
“Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week”
This year’s celebration will be held
May 6th – 12th

Louisiana Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health’s Goal is to:
• Diminish stigma associated with having a child with emotional, behavioral or mental challenges.
• Increase community awareness of mental health needs of these children and their families.
• Provide communities with information on recognizing mental health needs of children and
youth and how to implement appropriate interventions and supports
We at Louisiana Federation of Families Children’s Mental Health are requesting that congregations across the cities and state offer a special prayer for these children, youth and their families in services held during this special week.
