Join Cabela's for the 2012 Fall Great Outdoor Days on August 18 and August 19. Below you will find a list of the great seminars and other activities we will be having at the store on Saturday and Sunday.

Animal Identification
Recognizing animals in the wild requires a keen sense of observation. Bring the kids and learn how to identify mammals, reptiles, and birds in this class taught by staff from to Nevada Department of Wildlife.

Bird Watching for Kids
Different bird pictures are hung around Cabela’s. Visit the optics counter for your “bird watching kit” to help you locate the birds. Receive a prize for finding all of the birds.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries- Licenses
Discover all the hunting and fishing licenses available. Also, enter to win a “Louisiana Lifetime License” with the purchase of your hunting license over the weekend.

ATV/UTV Interactive Display
See live action trucks, UTV’s and ATV’s that have been rigged out with all the latest4D and winching equipment.

Haydel Calls: Calling Clinic
Kelly Haydel will walk you through the steps to learn numerous calls indigenous to Louisiana.

Youth Knot Tying Station
Knowing how to tie a knot is a skill you will use for a lifetime. From tying down tarps to joining several lengths together to make one long rope, this hands on demonstration is suited for young anglers or campers and their parents.

Feral Hog Damage Management
Walter Cotton with USDA/APHIS/Wildlife Services will give a seminar on feral hogs, how to manage and minimize the property damage as well as ways to eradicate the problem.

Diseases of Feral Hogs
