BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — In anticipation of smoking the Florida Gators on the field, Maxwell's Market is smoking real gator at their Perkins Rowe store.

Ahead of Saturday's game their offering up a feast of gator cooked anyway you can imagine. It's become an annual tradition for the LSU-proud store and promises if you take the chance to come out, you'll be sure to find something you like.

"We have the kabobs. We make the andouille, the sauce piquante,” Tommy Wiggins, Manger of Maxwell’s Market, said. “We also have a Gatorblood Bloody Mary mix, in case things don't go as planned, we have something on Sunday morning to help us out with the pain."

Managers at Maxwell's say the idea is to get fans fired up, and they all abide by the saying you gotta grill and eat the gator before you beat the gators.
