PARIS — Two years of experimentation in Paris laboratories have lead to today's U.S. launch of Lady Gaga's ‘Fame’ Eau de Parfum.
The singer's new fragrance was created through her self-owned Haus Laboratories label in association with Coty, Inc.
The fragrance has been promoted toward Gaga’s sexy persona. Wild media reports circulated in early 2011 that Gaga wanted the perfume to smell of "blood and semen". However, the singer stated that while the perfume was based on the molecular structure of the two substances, it would not smell of them.
According to the product's packaging, Mama Monster's fragrance uses push-pull technology to emphasize, "tears of belladona, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incesnse, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops."
The perfume is colored black but sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne.
