Thousands of 'Dukes of Hazzard' fans joined in for a 'Dukes of Hazzard' Family Reunion and Car Show in Livingston Parish.

Fans of Luke, Bo, and Daisy Duke put on their best 'Hazzard county' costumes, and brought their best 'General Lee' look-a-likes. Fans waited in line for over three hours just to get their favorite Duke to take a picture with them.

Fans of the show say they couldn't believe they'd get to see the stars of the show hanging out here in Louisiana.

"I never thought I'd get to meet Bo and Luke Duke," said Bo Duke fan, Michelle Tullier. "I grew up loving them. They were my idols. I wanted to be Daisy Duke when I grew up. I never thought I'd get to meet them. "

"Where I come from you are country and country is cool," said show fan Jason Thiels. "General Lee and the 'Dukes of Hazzard' was the coolest thing on the planet."

"I am a huge fan of the 'Dukes of Hazzard' I grew up watching them," said fan Gina Folks. "I was in the John Schnierder fan club for a long time. So, I am a huge fan."

In regards to the show being labeled as a "Hurricane Relief Party" on the promoters FB page, well a little misleading but not dishonest.Everyone likes to take advantage of hurricane victims. Sure a small percentage of people were charged $5 to park when the event was taunted as free but the LPSO shut that down fairly quick. All in all next year is going to be bigger and better . Like but as Uncle Jesse says: "It's not that hard, really, once you know how. "

Nice Event with a great turnout.. All of the Dukes Of Hazard Stars were great.
It's unfortunately the event promoters received a pounding on their Facebook page. In all fairness to them they got into a little more than they could handle.Relaying on volunteer labor to handle security
and parking maybe not the best idea. Sure there were some disclosures problems about fees for the meet and greet, but look for a more forthright advertising campaign next year. (Heck yea there will be a next year).
