Cajun food is not just for lunch or dinner any more, thanks to Boutin’s Restaurant.

The Capitol City’s signature Cajun restaurant is now serving a variety of authentic Cajun breakfast dishes at both locations, on Bluebonnet Boulevard and at Howell Place Business Park, beginning Monday, May 7 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The breakfast menu will include Cajun originals like pain per du French toast, grillades du jour, sweet potato pancakes, shrimp and grits, and his signature Zydeco omelet, which is loaded with Andouille sausage, Tasso, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, ham and cheddar cheese. Even more “traditional” hot breakfast favorites like steak and eggs and pork chops and eggs will be cooked and served with Cajun potatoes or Grits Royale.

“Everything we serve has a downhome taste to it, and not the traditional Southern home-style taste that is common in other places, but the uniquely Cajun home-style taste that can only be found in your Cajun grandmother’s kitchen or at Boutin’s Restaurants,” said Lynn Boutin, owner of Boutin’s Restaurant

With the addition of the breakfast times, Boutin’s Restaurant will now be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
