BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Tomorrow morning you can celebrate a national holiday with a stack of pancakes.
Tuesday, Feb. 28 is National Pancake Day and IHOP along with the Shriners Hospital for Children want to make sure everyone starts off their day in a fluffy, buttermilk way.
IHOP will provide free pancakes to patrons from 7:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. All they ask in return is for you to make a donation to the Shriners Hospital and other local charities.
IHOP served four million free pancakes on National Pancake Day 2011 and pancake lovers donated more than $2.5 million to children’s charities, exceeding the fundraising goal of $2.3 million. That made the day largest one-day event in the company’s 53-year history.
The participating IHOP in Baton Rouge is located at 3006 College Drive.
