Pull out your tacky Christmas sweater for a downtown ‘Boogie’ night
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Twice a week the Hollywood Casino in downtown Baton Rouge goes retro. That’s because the place opened up a new club called Boogie Nights.
The venue is devoted to the style of dance clubs that came out of the 70’s and 80’s and is equipped with a full, lighted dance floor and some of the best items that came from those eras. It’s over-the-top, and the crowd is as diverse as you can imagine.
Boogie Nights is open every Friday and Saturday night and typically offer live music performances by artists who were big during either era. Dancing along with them are celebrity impersonators and even a hula hoop girl.
On Friday, Dec. 23, you can take advantage of a free night of entertainment simply by wearing the best of your worst. All they ask is for you to wear your tackiest Christmas sweater.
Doors open at 9:00 p.m. For more information call (225) 709-7789.
