NEW ORLEANS, LA (NBC33) — A new music festival will happen this weekend in New Orleans and unlike those already established, this one is less concerned about kits and gear and more about bass lines and loops.
Buku Music + Art Project will feature some of the biggest electronic and hip hop artists. The roster includes Skrillex, Wiz Khalifa and Grammy-nominated Avicii, to name a few.
The two-day event will begin on Saturday, March 17 and will be held at Mardi Gras World, 1380 Port of New Orleans Place. Its focus is on the continued reemergence of DJ culture, which has seen a new surge of interest within the past two years.
Along with music the festival will include many interactive and collaborative art projects.
The festival will get started at 3:00 p.m. each day and will continue until 2:00 a.m.
The full lineup was released this week. Click here to view all of the performers and when they are scheduled.
Tickets to both days are $119.50 and single-day tickets are $64.50. VIP passes are also available.
