The weekend is sounding beautiful as the Louisiana Youth Orchestra get ready for their second performance.

The orchestra, under the direction of Baton Rouge Orchestra Assistant Conductor David Torns, will be performing at Baton Rouge Community College Sunday, Feb. 23.

The best part is that admission is free.

This premiere performing arts organization will perform selections from Joseph Haydn’s “Piano Concerto in D Major, Hob XVIII: 11, 1st Movement” as well as selections from the classical Broadway musical “Phantom of the Opera.”

The orchestra program features more than 150 members, between the ages of 6 and 20, playing wind, strings and percussion.
