DeBose Foundation host 'Cabaret Louisiana: Jazz, Blues, Zydeco' this weekend

The DeBose Foundation will observe its 38th Fine Arts Series - Competition in the 2012 “Cabaret Louisiana: Jazz, Blues, Zydeco” featuring Louisiana artists, on Sunday, April 12, at Boudreaux’s Fine Catering.

The event, from 3p.m. to 5:30 p.m., will feature music by world-renown drummer Herman Jackson & friends.
Performing with Jackson will be Thaddeus Richard on keyboards, Chris Severin on bass and Don Evans on saxophone. Jazz, Blues and Zydeco singers Ellen Smith and Esco McCullum will also perform.

Tickets are $45 per person for the dinner and show. The proceeds will go to provide organizational support for the interdisciplinary DeBose Fine Arts programs and National Piano Competition.

Doors open at 2:00 p.m. and are open to the public. Boudreaux’s located at 2647 Government St.
