GONZALES, LA (NBC33) — A wake is being held in Gonzales for the star of a television series who died earlier this week.

Mitchell Guist, 47, died Monday. The Assumption Parish Sheriff says Guist was building a boat when he had a seizure and fell in the water.

His body is being viewed today from until 9:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Guist was a star on the popular series "Swamp People" on the History Channel.

A preliminary autopsy shows that he died of natural causes.
