Jackson Rathbone, former Baton Rouge-native turned “Twilight” sensation, is going to be a father.
The news was leaked and the couple confirmed the announcement in an official statement saying that they are “thrilled and excited to be expecting their first child.”

The mother is Sheila Hafsadi and she’s now five-months pregnant.

Sources tell NBC33 News that the two met over the summer in July while Rathbone was on tour with his band 100 Monkeys. Hafsadi worked in a nightclub in Fort Lauderdale where the band performed one night.

After meeting, Rathbone continued and completed the summer tour in August. That’s when Hafsadi went to Los Angeles for a visit. We’re told she returned two weeks after and moved in perminantly with Rathbone.

Several months prior to their meeting, Rathbone and the members of 100 Monkeys spent a great deal of time in Baton Rouge. They recorded an album while Rathbone completed the last two installments of the “Twilight Saga.”

100 Monkeys performed several times in the Red Stick, including weekly gigs at Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s, and a concert at the Manship Theatre, to which Mayor Kip Holden attended. And, the guys even made a stop to the NBC33 studio to perform a song on the Morning Edition broadcast.

The recent personal life development has all plans for any upcoming tours for the band on hold.
