Local man auditions for America's Got Talent despite attack
LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) — Lake Charles native Duane Dunaway traveled to Austin, TX last week to audition for the television show America's Got Talent.
Dunaway chose to go through with the audition despite being attacked in December after singing at a local bar. He suffered a fractured cheek bones which causes a vibration through his teeth while he sings.
He was given 90 seconds to sing for a potential spot on this season's show. He is also sending in a web audition to boost his chances of making it.
Dunaway was told that he should know by the end of February whether or not he made the cut for the show.
