Boy Scout Troop to benefit from local film by 11 year old

Jim Hogg with Friends of Boy Scout Troop #769 and 11-year old film maker James Hogg shared about "My 1863 Adventure," an American Civil War film by James Hogg. In the film, young
James Linden Hogg plays fiddle, banjo, and guitar, demonstrates how to load and fire a musket and boo a brunswick stew. The film commemorates the Louisiana Bicentennial 1812-2012, and the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. A special showing of the film will be held on March 31 at 10 a.m. at the Grand Cinema Theatre on George O'Neal Lane.
Admission is $6.50 for the show, which includes a free popcorn and drink. Proceeds from the showing will go to the Boy Scout Troop 769. For more information, call (225) 755-8888.
