The results of yesterday's election are in. Republican Jay Dardenne and Democrat Caroline Fayard will go head to head in next month's Lieutenant Governor runoff on November 2nd. Secretary of State Dardenne won the top spot with 28% of the statewide vote, while New Orleans Attorney Fayard came in a close second with 24% of the vote.

The winner of the November 2nd runoff will take over the Lieutenant Governor's seat vacated by current Mayor of New Orleans Mitch Landrieu. The newly elected official will serve a one year term, which is the residual time remaining from Landrieu's incomplete four year term of office.

I saw the video of Jay's son Matt breaking into some ladies car in the Garden District. What is wrong with that kid. He's on film leaving a garage with a bag????????????
Somebody was passing the video around while we were tailgating yesterday. His Father needs to get him some serious help. He looks high as a kite on the video. I believe his Father should do the right thing, and turn him in so he can get help. I will vote for Mr. Dardenne if he can demonstrate that he does not approve.

Is anyone ever going to do a story on Jay Dardenne's son who broke into some ladies car in CENLA? It was caught on video Sept. 9, 2010. He goes into the garage, open the car door with a celle phone, and walks out of the garage at 4AM in the Morning.
Dardenne's camp is spinning it by saying it's a kid named Darden, but the kid in the video is Jay's son Matt Dardenne.
