NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The government is investigating a supplier of airbags that has caused Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru to recall 2,700 vehicles because the bags may not inflate.

All four car makers say the problem airbags came from the America’s unit of the Swedish auto parts maker Autoliv.

Autoliv has told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration it shipped about 10,500 problem inflators to automakers.

In addition to the four automakers with recalls, parts also went to the Chrysler Group, Ford Motor, General Motors, Kia Motors and Suzuki Motor; due to this, more recalls may follow.
