NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Insurance company Aflac is warning customers about a new scam.

Company leaders say if you receive a letter from Aflac that says you're the winner of a sweepstakes that instructs you to cash the prize check and wire funds to offset international taxes, it's a fake.

Aflac reps urge consumers to disregard any letters or checks bearing the company's name that offer a promotional reward.

Aflac executives say they have alerted law enforcement officials.
