East Baton Rouge levee closing
BATON ROUGE, La (NBC 33)- Starting at seven Friday morning, Mayor-President Kip Holden is closing the Mississippi river levees in the East Baton Rouge Parish.
On Thursday evening though, many people caught their last glimpse of the river for the immediate future.
Earlier this week, the Baton Rouge Police Department stopped all vehicular traffic from being on the levee.
Both bans will be in effect until further notice.
