BATON ROUGE, La (NBC 33)- LSU is mourning the loss of one its own.
Associate English professor Jeanne Leiby was killed yesterday in a one car crash on Interstate 10 West . Along with being a professor, the 46-year old was also the first female editor of the well-respected literary journal “The Southern Review” She had been its editor for the past three years.
Leiby will be remembered as a woman who cared about all people, “She’s been very well liked, very well loved and respected by her colleagues and friends in the department, across the university. This is a huge loss” says English Department Chair Rick Moreland.
