Hebert Pate and Elmore Lewis came on BR Lagniappe to discuss the VIP's Golden Apple Award-winning program called " Security Dads" .  In a press release from Glen Oaks Security Dads, it was stated  that our schools are plagued by social problems that contribute to the higher rates of crime. BRL Guests Pate and Lewis shared that the mission of Security Dads- which started here locally in 1993,  is to mentor school-aged kids and that  their main emphasis is to give youth a male mentor  model and a listening ear at lunch.

A final mention was "Family Day at the Stadium"  to be held at Glen Oaks Stadium this Saturday from 12-5. There will be food, games, things for kids to do.
