Mary Feduccia with the LSU Career Center and Jamie Segar with LSU Student Life talked about the new state-of-the-art Olinde Career Center that held their grand opening last week at LSU.

There are currently two Career Centers at LSU in two different locations on campus. The center assists LSU students throughout their school years, and even when they become alumni (with career needs).

The new Olinde Career Center is housed in the LSU Student Union, which recently underwent $85 million in rennovations, which will combine the two centers.

Feduccia said that the new center will have a lower level, which will include work stations, staff offices and a student services center which will have a workforce development area to help with job search and career information.

She further said that the second level will include the LSU recruitment Center, where over 1,000 employers can come and conduct interviews with LSU students and  recruit for employees. Each month, they refer over 1000 students resumes to area employers.
